First established in 2017, MACAW Multimedia was founded by Chicago natives, Josh Sniegowski and Aubrey Sands. Josh and Aubrey have a combined 15+ years in the industry and have experience working with a wide array of clients from startups to fortune 500 companies. The duo launched MACAW Multimedia to provide businesses without design teams access to hands-on, experienced designers.
Our goal at Macaw is to build a close relationship with our clients in the hopes of feeling like your own “in house” team. As the industry expands, MACAW Multimedia strives to provide thorough, strategic design, from project inception to launch. We never design without a purpose relevant to you, your client, and your industry, and we always consider your brand’s strategy when executing a project.

Starting Macaw Multimedia was a very personal and symbolic journey. Josh and I came up with the name Macaw because of what it symbolized – creative intelligence, inspiration, and freedom. Although extremely thankful for the experience gained throughout the past decade, I knew I wanted more from my design career. Despite being happy at my previous job, I didn’t feel fulfilled. I wanted to be more hands on with clients and free to design without limits.
Today, I couldn’t be more satisfied with my decision to start MACAW Multimedia. I strongly believe my passion towards my work is reflected within the experiences my clients have. I never want to leave a client feeling anything but ecstatic about their projects outcome and I vow to go above and beyond to ensure that happens.

I started my career in video production, primarily editing advertisements and online clips for a variety of companies. After realizing my clients were always looking to take their project to the next level, I quickly began expanding my skill set. This led to both web development and graphic design, which has grown to be the focus of my work. I’ve now been creating multimedia content for over 10 years.
The changing industry requires continued learning and constant growth to keep up with the coming trends. Starting Macaw Multimedia with Aubrey has allowed me to work on projects from many different people, companies, and nonprofits, all with different design needs. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
